13.jan.1889 baptized at St Mary in Lewisham, 1891 living in a family of manufacturers and enough servants at 56 Ringstead Road in Catford which was probably the home where he was born, until 1920 active as architect, 1919-1928 as autodidact in music he published hundreds of compositions with Curwen, Novello, Chappell and Paxton, 1930-1937 he worked as editor/arranger for Boosey, Chappell and Novello, 1935 residing at Underhill, Stafford Road in Caterham Surrey, at time of death residing at Four Oaks Merle Common in Oxted ; son of soap and perfume manufacturer Frederick Gerrard Williams (Cheshire, Birkenhead 19.oct.1855-16.aug.1897 Lewisham) and Edith Beatrice (Somerset, Long Ashton 1861-) ; 3.feb.1917 at Stoke Bishop Gloucestershire he married Gladys Madeline Frances Gordon Ratcliffe (Bristol Clifton 1886-25.jan.1966 Bristol) ; at death he left a widow named Mabel
