pianist, organist, arranger, 1860 studied studied music theory, piano, organ, harmony and composition at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, 1868-1885 organist of Notre Dame de Finisterre in Brussel, 1870 choirmaster of eglise Saint-Nicolas, 1871 appointed piano teacher of the girls class at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles for which he composed many highly valued study pieces, his 'Repertoire du Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles. Musique classique' containing his numerous arrangements/transcriptions for piano with fingering and fully written-out embellishments of works by the great composers was used for decades at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, his piano study pieces were also adopted by the Conservatoire National de Paris
